The hotel is right in Old Quebec and was in the middle of all the festivities at the time. Although there was loud music in the streets the rooms were very quiet. The facilities were excellent and the staff were so helpful, polite and professional. I loved my stay there.
The price was a little high, however, in checking hotels in the area it was par for its location. That is the only complaint I had.
quiet, large room, in the old quebec
tv small and old, buffet at st hubert one day the coffe not good, another day half the choice in the buffet missing
Convenient location to old Quebec City, local restaurants & the large park (Plains of Abraham). Helpful staff including front desk, concierge and others. Relative value for the money.
1. We arrived around 1 am due to a missed flight connection. The hotel is non-smoking yet the first room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke. Someone had been smoking there even though it is prohibited and a $100 cleaning surcharge is applied if someone breaks the rules. I complained to management who first told me the hotel was completely full due to the summer festival. I asked to be relocated to another hotel at their expense. They shortly found us another room that was larger and did not reek of tobacco and it was satisfactory for the balance of our stay. 2. This was summer festival (July 7-17) in Quebec City. There is music all over the city and a major venue was just across from our hotel. So very loud music started at 7 pm and went until late in the evening, with crowds lingering at local restaurants/bars on the adjacent street until 3 or 4 am. I suggest Bookings.com somehow alert customers of situations like this...had we known we would have booked somewhere else in the City even at a higher price. As a result of the noise we barely slept for 3 of our 4 nights there. So I would recommend the hotel only for times when festivals of this sort are not scheduled.
We got a great bargain in a very nice hotel with an excellent location.
The room was small for two, with an airshaft view. The toilet /bathroom was very cramped for someone tall.
S-t-r-o-n-g recommendation! Best hotel I've ever been in. Took the more expensive luxury room but it was sooo worthed. Quiet, superb view on "Les Plaines d'Abraham" and walking distance from the old Québec, Civilisation and Art musueum. Staff was super helpful (thanks to Steve, the Parking Vallet), polite and really want you to get a nice experience. Jacuzzi is amazing and r-e-a-l-l-y therapeuthic (try it). The restaurant attached to the hotel is a St-Hubert (the most pretty I've ever seen) and you can either get a nice drink or an affordable meal. If you want to be more fancy, there are a lot of international reputation restaurant at a walking distance. What I did not like? ...Leaving.
Hotel clean, great location and staff friendly
Very clean, confortable room, good location
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was fine, it was an excellent value for the money.
Everything about my experience waspositive
excellent location and very friendly staff, clean tidy rooms, good value for money,we really enjoyed the outdoor spa's, and indoor sauna.
great location for walking to see the city and a spectacular view of the battlefield. would definitely recommend the deluxe rooms with fireplace and jacuzzi for a romantic winter stay.
a different type of restaurant in the hotel would add to the ambiance.
Charming hotel in a great location in beautiful Quebec City.
The European room is very small, and the food at the hotel's restaurant, St-Hubert could be improved.
The location, the installations and the staff is great. I really enjoy my stay in Hotel Chateau Laurier.
a pleasant reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location with above average facilities and helpful staff
the bed is comfortable; the location is awsome!
the free space of the room is too small, also the internet is so bad. Theres one day that the staff not clean our room.
